We want your reviews of Dish Global Deli

There's a little Ann Arbor, Evanston and Northampton in Dish Global Deli. I felt it when I walked into the narrow, brick-walled space and looked up at a chalkboard menu that had something for just about everyone, including pizazz.
Located near Bridge Street and West 25th Street, this West Side Market neighbor stands out in an area already filled with standout restaurants. It's casual; you order at the counter and they bring it or call out to you. Sometimes they even take your plates away, although I wasn't sure how consistently after my two visits.
Besides the vivid flavors, it was satisfying to order side dishes ($2.75) constructed from - dare we say -ingredients with high nutritional value. Black bean and sweet potato hash, roasted garlic hummus and Caribbean collard greens all lived up to the promise of their names, and all well-balanced in vibrant seasonings. The hash could have had a more defined texture, and a fourth side we tried, sesame-peanut green beans were surprisingly flat-tasting. But most of this gallery of sides were memorable. More than that, they offer a chance to eat a smart-little-something to get you to your next full meal. Take that, you fried thangs.
Speaking of full meals, the lemony Goddess salad ($9) is a lovely plate, rich in feta, roasted peppers, crisp cukes, zesty kalamata olives and relatively unpunished greens. A sprinkle of poached garlic cloves gives it a mysteriously nutty accent that made it my instant favorite.

The best global deli in Cleveland: Dish Global Deli

You might think that Dish Global Deli sounds like it would be the opposite of a meat lover’s paradise. And you’d be right.
This funky little spot on West 25th in Ohio City is the newest fantastic sandwich place as far as I’m concerned. The first time I walked in, the friendly lady behind the counter shook my hand and cheerfully introduced herself as Heather, the owner, and proceeded to make suggestions and answer my questions about the menu items.

DISH Global Deli

On the icy election day, my sister and I decided to escape to Dish Global Deli (1834 West 25th Street, Ohio City) where we were warmly greeted by sisters Betsy and Heather, who opened Dish in spring 2007 in the old OPA! storefront. A quick glance at Dish's menu shows lunch staples such as soups, salads, and sandwiches, but the Dish experience is all about nuance. Each item on the menu is unique to this particular place, including a delicious salad featuring spicy roasted nuts, dried apricot, and a honey cumin dressing, a chicken sandwich accented with a mission fig jam, and miso soup made with lemon and fried tofu
